Spring Cleanup & Curry Session, April 25, 2010

Meet your neighbors while helping to clean up the neighborhood on Sunday, April 25, 2010!  We will meet on the south side of the 1400 block of Florida Avenue, NW, at 10am.  After the cleanup, please join us for a party at the Fojol Bros. food truck and enjoy vegetarian-based curries and lassipops.

Cleanup 10:00am-1:00pm ~ Curry 12:00noon-1:00pm.

Next Meeting: April 20, 2010

The next meeting of the Meridian Hill Neighborhood Association will take place on Tuesday, April 20, 2009. The meeting location is Gingras Ecumenical Center, 1419 V Street, NW, Washington, DC 20009.  We begin at 7:00pm and end promptly at 8:30pm.

DPW Observance of Emancipation Day, April 16, 2010

The Department of Public Work (DPW) will observe Emancipation Day (see here and here), Friday, April 16, 2010.  The following services will be suspended: 

• Citywide Parking Enforcement, except around Nationals Park: DPW will not enforce parking meters, residential parking, and rush hour lane restrictions.  It will suspend towing of abandoned vehicles. 
• Scheduled Street and Alley Cleaning, Nuisance Abatement. 

All services will resume on Monday, April 19, 2010. 
 
Trash and Recycling Collections will be made on Friday, April 16, from residences where collections are made on Friday.  As always, trash and recycling containers must be placed out for collection no earlier than 6:30pm the night before collection and removed from public space by 8 pm on the day of collection.
