The next MHNA meeting will take place on Tuesday, September 21, 2010, at Gingras Ecumenical Center, 1419 V Street, NW, Washington, DC. Metropolitan Police Department Third District Commander Jacob Kishter (picture at right) will be on hand to discuss developments in the Third District. The meeting will start at 7:00pm and end promptly at 8:30pm. All are welcome. The agenda is as follows.

- Review of business plan with owner of the cafe at 14th and W Streets, NW.
- Update with new plans and feedback for the empty lot 14th Street and Florida Avenue, NW: Paul Millstein
- Assess plans of Washington Yu Ying Public Charter School, which uses the Chinese language immersion model, to occupy Harrison Elementary school on 13th Street: Steven Glazerman
- Update from Treasurer and new memberships: Justin Vitarello
- Review of Greening Gommittee: fall cleanup day, tree boxes: Mike Taylor
- New and old business, including: the former Nehemiah Shopping Center site owned by UDR (formerly United Dominion Realty Trust); movie night recap and vote for next year; matching grant availability; website updates; and community interviews (Ernest Springs).
