- Group of residents' proposal for 5-year moratorium on new liquor licenses in the 14th & U area
- Moratorium would cover 1800 ft. radius from 1213 U Street, NW.
- Would not apply to grocery or take-away retail (e.g. Trader Joe's), only restaurant, tavern and nightclub licenses.
- Would not reduce number of existing licenses.
- Would not apply to license applications pending at the time of moratorium enactment.
- ABC Board may add amendments to exempt certain areas or businesses from the moratorium.
