The next Meridian Hill Neighborhood Association (MHNA) meeting will take place on Tuesday, January 15, 2013, in the Greater Washington Sports Alliance conference room, 2300 14th Street, NW, from 7 until 8:30pm.  

Roger Kemp, an Assistant United States Attorney for the District of Columbia, will discuss the DC courts' use of community impact statements in sentencing of offenders. These statements can provide residents a significant opportunity to affect crime and safety in their neighborhoods, especially with regard to repeat offenders.  

Eric Smucker will discuss Smucker Farms' application for a special Alcoholic Beverage Control Class B license that would allow the store to sell beer and wine until midnight. Agenda updated Jan. 14, 2012:
