Volunteer with Martha's Table Saturday Nov 14!

MHNA Members:

We are partnering with Martha's Table again this year to prepare and deliver food to our community members who are experiencing economic hardship. We have reserved 2 different volunteer dates to accommodate busy schedules. Please join us to help MT with their "Dinner & Dishes" program. MHNA members will serve dinner and and assist MT staff in clean-up. 

The 2 dates reserved for anyone that would like to participate are A) Saturday, October 31st from 3:30pm-6:30pm and B) Saturday,November 14, 3:30 pm - 6:30 pm.

**We are encouraged by Martha's Table to submit the names of those volunteering 48 hours in advance so please sign-up as soon as possible and if something changes please let us know as soon as a conflict is identified. ***

The Meridian Hill Neighborhood Association meets monthly, with the exeptions of August and December.

The October meeting will be held a Moshe Zusman Photography Studio.

Agenda items include:  

 - Volunteer event with Martha's Table 
 - DDOT public space 
 - Proposed DC noise legislation
 - Garrison Elementary School  

 - Public safety  
 - Other neighborhood developments (7-11 at 14th and Florida, 15th St. improvements, etc) 
 - Upcoming social events

July 21 Meeting

The MHNA July monthly meeting was held Tuesday July 21 at Moshe Zusman Photography Studio, 1401 Florida Ave NW, at 7pm.

Councilmember Brianne Nadeau attended. Agenda items included:
 - District Distilling Company, 1414-1418 U St. NW, request for Class “C” Tavern license
 - National Park Police, seasonal update on Meridian Hil Park
 - Proposed 7-11 at 14th and Florida
 - Other new neighborhood business
