Neighborhood Watch Training, Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2012

On Tuesday, January 17, 2012, the Northwest Columbia Heights Community Association, with support from Target, the Columbia Heights Shaw Family Support Collaborative, and the UPS Store, will host Nieghborhood Watch Training.  The training is free-of-charge.  All are welcome.  Free refreshments will be provided.

Time: 6:30 to 9:00pm

Place: St. Stephen and the Incarnation Episcopal Church, 1525 Newton St NW, Washington DC, 20010, Upstairs Auditorium, 16th-Street Side

  • 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM - Crime Prevention Training with Samantha Nolan
  • 8:00 PM to 9:00 PM - Small-group Discussions - Issue Identification and Goal Setting

PSA Realignment

On December 28, 2011, District of Columbia Metropolitan Police Department Chief Cathy L. Lanier announced the realignment of Police Service Areas ("PSAs"), which takes effect on January 1, 2012.   Meridian Hill Neighborhood Association's boundaries cover parts of PSAs 301, 303, 304 and 305.

Note that for law enforcement purposes Meridian Hill/Malcolm X Park is under United States Park Police jurisdiction (except for homicides).

Holiday party, Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2012, 7-9pm, Restaurant Judy

Meridian Hill Neighborhood Association's holiday party will take place on Tuesday, January 24, 2012, from 7pm to 9pm at Restaurant Judy, 2212 14th Street, NW.

Meet and catch up with your neighbors, brainstorm ideas, renew your membership, and sample Salvadorean specialties at a local favorite hangout.

Meridian Hill Neighborhood Association usually meets on the third Tuesday of each month.  The holiday party will be held in lieu of MHNA's regularly scheduled meeting (which would take place on January 17).
