From the MHNA Listserve: The Metropolitan Police Department will hold a happy new year potluck and meet-and-greet with the new Commander & Inspector, at the Third District Police Station, 1620 V Street, NW, on Thursday, January 28, 2010, from 7:30 pm until 9:00 pm. Bring your special dish to share.

The Dupont Circle Citizens Association (DCCA) plans to hold a series of get-togethers at local restaurants and invites MHNA members to the first one, which will be at El Paraiso Restaurant, 1916 14th Street, NW, on Monday, January 25, from 6 until 8pm. El Paraiso is less than one block south of MHNA's boundaries. All drinks and appetizers will be half price. Please come out and support a long-time local restaurant, chat with your fellow MHNA members and meet some of your neighbors who live south of U Street.
