Which days do I set out my recycling and trash for collection?
The next meeting of the Meridian Hill Neighborhood Association will take place on Tuesday, November 17, 2009. The meeting location is Gingras Ecumenical Center, 1419 V Street, NW, Washington, DC 20009. We begin at 7:00pm and end promptly at 8:30pm.
Join in the effort to clean our neighborhood. Meet your neighbors while sprucing up tree boxes, raking leaves and cleaning streets. From 10am until 1pm. Meet at the corner of 14th Street and and Florida Avenue, NW.
The DC Department of Public Works announced today that residential mechanical street cleaning ended for the season on Friday, November 6, 2009. “No parking/street cleaning” restrictions have been lifted, and motorists may park along the posted alternate-side, daytime street sweeping routes without being required to move their cars on street-cleaning days. Overnight sweeping scheduled for the District’s major roadways, which include Pennsylvania, Georgia, Constitution, and Independence Avenues, will take place as usual throughout winter, weather permitting. Motorists are urged not to park in these areas during the posted overnight sweeping hours. Residents and business owners will be notified when street sweeping resumes again in the spring of 2010.
