Next Meeting: Tuesday, October 16, 2012, 7-8:30pm

The next regularly scheduled monthly Meridian Hill Neighborhood Association meeting will take place on Tuesday, October 16, 2012, in the Greater Washington Sport Alliance on the first floor of the Solea building, 2300 14th Street, NW. The entrance is on the northeast corner of 14th & Florida.

Reuben Pemberton, III, Program Manager, Vacant Building Enforcement at the DC Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs, will discuss the process for designating blighted and vacant properties, which provides an incentive for owners of such properties to clean them up and restore them to habitability.

Representatives of UDR, owner of the new Capitol View on 14th apartment building at 14th & Belmont, will discuss their plans for the building's ground floor retail space. Valor Development will update us on its plans to construct a mixed-use apartment building on the northwest corner of 14th & W Streets, NW. Mova Lounge, 2204 14th Street, NW, has been invited to discuss the informal agreement reached with its neighbors to control noise.
