Reeves Center Statement
On July 10, 2014, MHNA submitted to the District of Columbia Council a statement regarding the proposed redevelopment of the Franklin Reeves Center site at 2000 14th Street, NW. The Reeves Center is located within MHNA's boundaries.
The public space on the northwest corner of 14th and U Streets, in front of the Reeves Center, is a community hub and popular meeting place. It is the site of the 14th & U Farmers Market.
The Reeves Center serves the community as the location of the DC Center for the LGBT Community and a branch of the United States Postal Service.
