Nectarine Sale, 14th & U Farmers Market, Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013, 9am-1pm

NectarinesFrom the MHNA listserv: If you like nectarines, you will be in heaven because Kuhn is running a HUGE sale on their red-gold nectarines (my personal favorites). ½ bushel box (about 25 pounds) for 25 dollars, about $1 a pound. Make jam, make nectarine cobblers, have a gazpacho party and top each serving with heaps of nectarine cubes, make tomato-nectarine salad…split the box with friends. Special meeting, Wednesday, August 21, 2013, outside at Union Row courtyard, 7:45pm

Union Row, 2125 14th Street NWThe Meridian Hill Neighborhood Association (MHNA) will not hold a regularly scheduled meeting in August. However, there will be a short, special meeting on Wednesday, August 21, 2013, outside in the Union Row courtyard, 2125 14th Street, NW, at 7:45pm, for the sole purpose of voting on two amendments to the MHNA bylaws

The meeting will be outside. There will be no seating. It should take no longer than 5 minutes.

The proposed amendments are:

(1) To ARTICLE II. PURPOSE

Add:

h) Promote historic preservation

(2) To ARTICLE III. BOUNDARIES:
