This Saturday the 14 & U farmers market in front of the Reeves Center will be open from 9:00am until 1:00pm. From the MHNA listserv:

Recently American Express and the National Trust for Historic Preservation announced that Meridian Hill / Malcolm X Park was chosen to participate in Partners in Preservation, a contest that will award $1 million in grants to historic places in the Washington, D.C. metro areas.
The historic place that receives the highest number of points is guaranteed to receive grant funding.
